MORGAN
 Lumber Co., Inc.

In the early 1940s, Morgan Lumber Company began establishing a tradition dedicated to producing a quality lumber product along with a commitment to customer satisfaction. It was from the vision of  J.C. Morgan that a small sawmill was incorporated.

Not long after, J.C. Morgan's two sons, W.C. and Billy, joined him in the family business. With J.C.'s declining health, Billy took over management in sales and operations in the late 1950's. Under his dedicated leadership, the business grew to two small sawmills, a planer mill, and a building supply store. Beginning in the 1970s and continuing into the 1980s, both the sawmill and planer mill experienced major modernization.

Today yet another generation stands at the helm of the company. Along with this new leadership the company has witnessed extensive technological growth. What began as a small sawmill now stands as a leader in the manufacturing of southern yellow pine. It has grown to a modern, state of the art operation complete with computerized sawmill, dry kiln, and planer mill.

Morgan Lumber Company was founded with deep vision and a strong desire to form and maintain a reputation of producing only the finest lumber products. The company now celebrates a legacy of four generations and seventy years. It has not only grown physically, but also that desire for integrity, trust, and longevity has flourished.

Today Morgan Lumber Company stands proudly at the forefront of Virginia's lumber industry. It continues to be dedicated to the establishment and maintenance of positive employee and customer relationships. Stemming from that dedication, Morgan Lumber Company encourages and welcomes suggestions as a way to successfully advance into the future, while preserving the ideals upon which it was established.
